Presenting A Paper

  • Remind yourself of thesis Make sure that you have notes in front of you that you can reference while presenting the paper.
  • Each point equals one slide When making a Powerpoint, Prezi or other visual presentation, each point should have its own slide.
  • Use the “5×5 Rule” Five lines of text per slide, five words per line of text. Keep the slides informative, yet easy to read.
  • Use Large Font If you are presenting at the front of the classroom, don’t make the mistake of using font that is too small. Use at least 28 point font for text and a minimum of 40pt for titles.
